Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions govern the booking and provision of services by Addickted Entertainment for your event. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the following terms, which include payment requirements, event setup and safety considerations, client responsibilities, and cancellation policies. Addickted Entertainment is committed to delivering a professional service, and these terms are designed to ensure a smooth and successful event. We recommend reading the full terms carefully to ensure both parties are clear on expectations and obligations:
1. Booking and Payment
1.1 A booking will only be considered confirmed upon receipt of the non-refundable booking fee of £50 and acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined below. Addickted Entertainment is unable to hold any date or confirm an event without the payment of the non-refundable booking fee. This fee will be deducted from the total fee, leaving the balance to be paid.
Please Note: By confirming this booking, you acknowledge and agree to enter into a contract with Addickted Entertainment, which constitutes your full acceptance of the terms and conditions.
The booking fee is non-refundable, as Addickted Entertainment will have reserved the agreed-upon date exclusively for your event and will not double-book any event.
1.2 The Client agrees to pay the balance of the fee via BACS (bank transfer), credit/debit card, cash, or any other mutually agreed payment method at least 21 (twenty-one) days prior to the event date.
2. Requirements
2.1 Addickted Entertainment requires adequate access to the venue both prior to and after the event to facilitate the setup and breakdown of equipment. A minimum of 90 minutes (preferably 120 minutes) is required for setting up, and 45 minutes for packing up and vacating the premises.
2.2 The DJ setup requires an approximate space of 3 metres in width and 2.5 metres in depth. Addickted Entertainment will make every reasonable effort to work with any space constraints. The Client should inform Addickted Entertainment in advance of any space limitations.
2.3 The Client is responsible, in collaboration with the venue, for ensuring a suitable and safe electricity supply. Addickted Entertainment will require two 13A mains sockets (no more than 5 metres from the setup area). If Addickted Entertainment deems the electricity supply or any other aspect of the event unsafe, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel the performance following consultation with the Client. In such cases, refunds will not be applicable.
2.4 The Client warrants that they are authorised to use the venue for the event and that the event will not violate any laws, by-laws, or conditions applicable to the property. The Client is also responsible for ensuring that any necessary licenses for the event are in place.
2.5 If the event is held in a marquee or external venue, the Client must ensure the work area is dry, weather-protected, suitably floored, and equipped with a minimum of two 13A voltage-regulated and earthed electricity supplies close to the setup area. Addickted Entertainment is unable to operate from generator supplies unless prior approval is given.
2.6 The Client must inform Addickted Entertainment in advance if the venue is equipped with any sound-limiting or restriction devices. If such devices are in operation, Addickted Entertainment reserves the right to decline to perform. Should such devices be discovered on the day of the event, Addickted Entertainment reserves the right to decline to perform, with no obligation to refund any payment.
3. Changes to Contracted Playing Time
3.1 Any request from the Client to extend the performance time will be at the sole discretion of Addickted Entertainment and may be subject to other constraints. However, we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate such requests. Extensions will be subject to an additional charge of £40 per 30 minutes (or part thereof) after the agreed finish time.
3.2 Early termination of the performance, whether by the Client or due to unforeseen circumstances, will not result in a refund or any liability for Addickted Entertainment.
4. Conduct
4.1 The Client is responsible for providing adequate supervision over all guests at the event. Any damage, loss, or theft caused by the Client, their guests, venue staff, or any other individuals to Addickted Entertainment's equipment, vehicles, or personal property will be the responsibility of the Client. The Client will be liable for the cost of repairs or replacement, and Addickted Entertainment will notify the Client as soon as any damage is identified.
4.2 If at any time before or during the event Addickted Entertainment believes that its personnel or property are under threat (whether verbally or physically), we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the performance without notice. In such instances, no refunds will be applicable.
4.3 Addickted Entertainment will not tolerate any abuse or threatening behaviour directed towards its team members, whether by guests or venue staff. Such behaviour will result in the immediate termination of the performance, with no obligation to refund any payments.
4.4 If the event includes guests under the age of 16, the Client (or their parent, if present) will be responsible for the behaviour and safety of any minors in attendance.
4.5 Addickted Entertainment commits to conducting itself in a professional manner throughout the entirety of the booking period.
5. Non-Attendance
5.1 Addickted Entertainment will make every reasonable effort to attend the event. In the unlikely event that we are unable to attend a confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or accident, we will endeavour to provide a suitable substitute offering a similar service at no additional charge. If this is not possible, the Client will receive a full refund for all monies paid. However, Addickted Entertainment will not be liable for any additional costs or losses arising from our non-attendance.
5.2 Addickted Entertainment will not be liable for failure to attend a booking if non-attendance or late arrival is caused by factors beyond our control, including adverse weather conditions (e.g., snow, flooding), road closures, traffic accidents, fuel shortages, acts of terrorism, industrial action, government restrictions, incorrect booking details, or other unavoidable circumstances.
6. Photography, Videography, and Media
6.1 Addickted Entertainment reserves the right to use photographs, video recordings, audio, or other media documentation of the event for marketing purposes. The Client expressly authorises these activities. All copyrights in photographs, video recordings, audio, and other media taken by Addickted Entertainment remain the property of Addickted Entertainment. Should the Client wish to opt out of media documentation, they must notify Addickted Entertainment in writing or by email prior to the event.
6.2 All individuals attending the event grant Addickted Entertainment permission to use photographs, videos, or other media of them for promotional purposes, including illustration, advertising, trade, or any other purpose. The Client releases Addickted Entertainment from any liability arising from the use or publication of such materials, including any claims for libel or privacy invasion.
7. Cancellation Policy
7.1 If the Client cancels the event more than 28 days before the event date, the non-refundable booking fee will be forfeited. No further penalties will apply. If the cancellation occurs within 28 days of the event, the full balance of the total fee is due within 10 working days of cancellation.
8. Insurance
8.1 Addickted Entertainment will provide proof of public liability insurance and any required certifications as mandated by the venue.
9. Miscellaneous
9.1 Addickted Entertainment shall not be held liable for any breach of by-laws or conditions under which a venue is leased, hired, or operated.
9.2 Addickted Entertainment encourages Clients to provide a short music playlist to ensure the desired atmosphere at the event. However, the Client accepts that unless specified as "must-play" tracks, these playlists are not guaranteed to be included. Addickted Entertainment will make every effort to accommodate these requests.
9.3 Where the venue does not provide parking facilities, Addickted Entertainment reserves the right to charge any additional parking fees to the Client. Additionally, in accordance with health and safety regulations, Addickted Entertainment will refuse to work at venues requiring unsafe or illegal parking arrangements for unloading equipment. This also applies to unsafe working conditions, such as navigating cluttered or poorly lit stairways or exits.
9.4 If Addickted Entertainment is to work alongside another entertainer (such as a band), the Client is responsible for ensuring there is adequate space for both entertainers to set up their equipment, along with separate power outlets.
9.5 For events held in marquees, the Client must ensure the work area is dry and weather-protected, with a minimum of two 13A power sockets within 10 metres of the setup area.
Please note: Addickted Entertainment will not perform outdoors in bad weather or if adverse weather conditions are expected on the day. We accept no responsibility for damage to electrical equipment caused by working in unsuitable weather conditions.
